SearchMedia Confirms Going Concern Qualification Per Section 610(b) of the NYSE
AMEX LLC Company Guide

Going Concern Qualification Previously Filed in Form 20-F

Shanghai, China, July 11, 2011 — SearchMedia Holdings Limited (“SearchMedia” or
the “Company”) (NYSE Amex: IDI, IDI.WS), one of China's leading nationwide
multi-platform media companies, confirmed that it received a “going concern”
qualification in its Form 20-F for the fiscal year 2010 from its independent
registered public accounting firm.

This announcement is required by the NYSE Amex Company Guide Section 610(b),
which requires separate disclosure of receipt of an audit opinion containing a
going concern qualification. This announcement does not represent any change or
amendment to SearchMedia’s Annual Financial Statements or to its Annual Report
on Form 20-F for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2010, which was filed on
June 30, 2011.
